The Center for Natural Breast Reconstruction is so excited to welcome our newest team member!
Kate is a nationally board-certified and state-licensed Family Nurse Practitioner who is eager to work with our staff and care for our patients. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the College of Charleston in 2015, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018. She then continued her studies and graduated from MUSC in August 2021 with her Masters in Nursing.
Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Kate was a Patient Care Technician with Hematology-Oncology at MUSC. She was able to have hands-on experience with patients for the first time in this position and felt that it was a privilege to help them through some of their most vulnerable moments.
She also worked as a Registered Nurse for 3 years at East Cooper Medical Center and MUSC—gaining experience in Pediatric Cardiology and Family Medicine. Because of these professional experiences, Kate knew she wanted to continue her education and acquire the credentials needed to provide a higher level of patient care.
Kate is originally from Illinois and has lived in Charleston for 10 years. In her spare time, she loves exploring our local beaches and practicing yoga. She also spends time with her two dogs, Boomer and Lottie, and her horse, Mara.
She’s quite the foodie, too! Kate enjoys cooking at home and exploring our many fantastic local restaurants in Charleston. One of her personal favorites is Leon’s Oyster Shop in downtown Charleston.
As a part of our practice, Kate looks forward to offering guidance and a warm, friendly face to our patients and their loved ones. Her goals are to educate, answer questions, and provide the support our patients and their families need to be confident in our care.
We are so happy to have Kate join us as an amazing addition to our team! Every member of our staff at the Center for Natural Breast Reconstruction is experienced, compassionate, and caring, so we just know she will be a perfect fit!
