Question: How long after finishing chemo do you recommend starting reconstruction of a bilateral mastectomy?
Answer: That’s a great question. It depends on the type of chemo you have. Once your blood levels are close to normal post-chemo, you should be able to proceed. However, your oncologist is the best person to decide that.
